Will Israel be safer out of the Gaza strip? Will the Palestinians be happy now? Will they love Jews? Will this move be a catalyst for peace? Has appeasement ever worked?

No. No. No. No. and No.

I recognize that this pull-out fulfills a commitment by the Oslo agreement. I'm guessing the Jews inferred an implied agreement--to not be killed, maimed and otherwise blown up by their neighbors.

What irritates the Arabs and has since Abraham, is that they KNOW this land belongs to Israel. They know God gave it to them. And they're still mad at God.
