To Be or Not To Be A Refugee

Just read this Fox News article about using the term refugee.
"It is racist to call American citizens refugees," the Rev. Jesse Jackson (search) said, visiting the Houston Astrodome on Monday. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have expressed similar sentiments.

Let's see they were evacuees but now they are evacuated.
They don't have homes. Homeless?
Most now reside in new cities unknown to them. Stranded?

Give me a break. These people are seeking REFUGE from a DISASTER. No it's not war or political unrest and the people are Americans. So what?

What I do object to though is the cover of U.S. News and World Report. A beautiful, well-dressed woman with jewelry and yet the feel of the cover is "we're in Somalia." Now that is exploitation.
